Exceptional pieces which ooze quality, stature and outstanding craftsmanship.

In this episode we explore 2 such pieces from the collection.

Firstly, an exceptional 19th century French Louis XV bureau plat – a kingwood top bordered by an ormolu moulded edge above a shaped serpentine frieze housing amboyna drawers with satinwood and sycamore string inlays and kingwood and tulipwood crossbandings, further embellished with fine quality pierced gilded bronze, supported on well shaped inlaid cabriole and ormolu legs. This bureau plat is of particularly exceptional quality and was most certainly made for one of the most notable houses in France.
