French bureau plats like this don’t come along every day. The quality, workmanship and level of detail is quite outstanding and we’re thrilled with the beautiful transformation that sympathetic restoration has produced.

Preserving as much history as possible through the restoration process, the original leather top retains its beautifully aged patina, and after a gentle clean and polish, the parquetry is vibrant once again, and the gilded bronze dazzling.

Original leather top with fine gilded brass mould over a shaped geometric parquetry frieze housing three shaped drawers with original gilded bronze handles supported on four cross banded cabriole legs with original gilded bronze sabots.
