Our antique sofa collection comprises a range of beautiful antique seats, stools and window seats suitable as a feature for living rooms, lounges and bedrooms. A family owned business for over 45 years, Wallrocks have travelled the world to hand select fine quality 19th century antique sofas which we import into Australia in original condition and custom restore by hand according to specific client requirements. Each antique sofa comes complete with a Certificate of Authenticity. 

Our collection of antique sofas, stools and window seats spans the 19th century with designs predominantly from the Louis XV and Louis XVI eras however we do have a few rare and outrageous contradictions to this rule in the collection, including a fabulous 19th century antique Transylvanian Folk Art bench seat or settle hand-painted in the Cifre style. We have a beautiful and ever-changing collection of antique sofas and seating available, all with their own subtle differences and unique characteristics.

Our highly personalised restoration service is specifically designed to transform the furniture and our extensive selection of luxury designer fabrics means clients can bring any piece out of the 19th century and into the 21st, customising it specifically to suit their interior. 

The design of the antique sofa, settee, canope, settle, chaise longue was so successful that it has stood the test of time and is still of enormous relevance today, in fact most homes will not be found without one. As seating evolved through the centuries with few homes having more than a basic stool during the middle ages, so too did the prevalence of furniture for comfort and luxury as luxury items such as antique sofas became more accessible to a wider section of the population. 

Undoubtedly the way that we use antique sofas has changed with most of them being designed for form over function. With modern equivalents taking the place of the original in comfort terms, antique sofas have become a wonderful feature or statement piece in a room.
