While all our cabinets are of a very high standard quality-wise, there are some that stand out above the rest. One such example is side cabinet whose marquetry panels were designed and made by master craftsmen Joseph Cremer, who was ranked among the top marqueteurs in Paris during the mid 19th century. With beautifully intricate inlay and ormolu embellishments and mounts, this piece really is a testament to the skill that existed during the 19th century when the skills of the 18th century were combined with the machinery introduced as a result of the Industrial Revolution. Now more than just a useful piece of serving furniture, these pieces have become well loved and versatile additions that make a statement in a home.

Our collection of antique cabinets & sideboards is available for viewing in our showroom located in Albion, just north of Brisbane CBD. We are very happy to discuss in detail how a given piece of furniture will restore and what possibilities exist to bring a cabinet back to life. Most cabinets require only cleaning and re-polishing however we do have the skills for marquetry repair, ormolu and brass-work inlay.
