A fine quality 19th century French Louis XV gilded large queen size bed, the beautifully carved and gilded central crests in the form of flowers and leaves on gilded carved frames bordering central upholstered panels. The bed retains its original carved and gilded side rails. Price includes cleaning and restoration of gilded decoration, but excludes fabric and upholstery.

Re-polishing or Waxing
As part of restoration, we can clean and gently re-polish and or wax this piece of antique furniture depending on your individual taste. Our French polisher has been with us for 40 years, and does everything by hand. No spray guns, and no nasty polyurethane sprays. Polishing allows the grain of the piece of furniture to become evident once again, and waxing provides a soft glow, however there is also the option to keep the piece in totally original condition if this is your preference. From here, we present you with a range of beautiful quality fabrics that meet your criteria for final selection on your piece of furniture. From here, we organise the upholstery and then deliver to you a complete and beautiful piece.

Customise Your Mattress
One size doesn’t fit all, especially with antique beds. We offer high quality custom mattress service, made to any size or shape. Our restorers hand-make a template that perfectly fits the bed you have, and our supplier makes in Australia to the highest standard, with cashmere infused fabric treated with Purotex, a probiotic micro-flora that cleans up bed mite allergens and inhibits the development of undesirable bacteria and moulds. A layer of fusion gel helps with temperature control designed to stop hot spots while you’re trying to sleep. The mattresses come with a ten-year warranty and include options for everyone, including pocket spring, latex or posture perfect.
