19th Century French Napoleon III Kidney-Shaped Marble Side Table
A fine quality 19th century French occasional table of elegant kidney-shaped form with figured breccia marble top enclosed by a pierced brass gallery the frieze houses a single shaped mahogany lined drawer embellished with original brass and finely chased gilt bronze mounts. Raised on four square tapering fluted legs with applied ormolu decoration in the form of flowers joined by a shaped stretcher in solid mahogany terminating in gilt bronze paw feet.
Well-proportioned and versatile, this piece works equally well as a side table, lamp table, or refined accent in both traditional and contemporary interiors.
Condition: The table is structurally sound and retains all its original metalwork. The price includes cleaning and re-polishing which the table would benefit from and includes cleaning of metalwork by Wallrocks expert restoration team of over 40 years experience.
