Antique Mahogany Centre Table with Bronze Mounts: An exceptional early 19th century French Empire centre table the original hand-dished marble top with moulded edge over on a flame mahogany frieze supported on an out-swept tripod flame mahogany centre pedestal embellished with original gilded bronze in the form of a torchere flanked by three finely carved mahogany swans above a platform base raised on brass castors.

Condition: This table in in extremely good original condition and gentle cleaning and waxing is inclusive in the price and done by Wallrocks highly experienced in-house restoration team at the time of sale. This Neoclassical marble top centre table is an ideal statement piece in refined entry and an ideal hero centre table in any sophisticated interior.

This French Empire centre table is an exceptional example of its kind, with extremely well executed hand-carved swans on the base of each flame mahogany leg.

Re-polishing or Waxing

As part of restoration, we can clean and gently re-polish and or wax this piece of antique furniture depending on your individual taste. Our French polisher has been with us for 40 years, and does everything by hand. No spray guns, and no nasty polyurethane sprays. Polishing allows the grain of the piece of furniture to become evident once again, and waxing provides a soft glow, however there is also the option to keep the piece in totally original condition if this is your preference.
