Antique Upholstery
Re-upholstery and beautiful fabric breathe new life into your antique and allow you to be part of the story of its history. At Wallrocks, we source some of the finest quality fabrics in the world, including French silk cut velvets, hand embroidered silks, bespoke custom panels, linens, velvets and more and work with you to rejuvenate the upholstery and look of your antique pieces or those for our collection.
The antiques we list on our website are all in original condition. When you buy one of our pieces, we work alongside you to choose and select the perfect fabric to compliment both the piece and your individual style and home. We start by having a discussion with you to understand your own style, tastes and preferences in terms of fabric and upholstery. Based on your brief, we present you with a range of beautiful quality fabrics from some of the best suppliers in the world, that meet your criteria for final selection on your piece of furniture. Upholstery for Antique Furniture
Upholstery is a skilled process, and Wallrocks work closely with our upholsterers to ensure that traditional techniques and quality of upholstery is maintained in the process. As part of this process we ensure that the structure of the antique retains its integrity through restoration and any necessary re-gluing or tacking rails that need to be attended to in the process are addressed. Clients have the options to have traditional or modern upholstery work completed on their piece according to their personal tastes and preferences.
Once upholstery is complete, Wallrocks will then do a final detail on the piece to ensure the polished or decorated timber frame is perfect, and then organise deliver to you a complete and beautiful upholstered antique piece.
We offer an interior decorating service and can also assist you with design and fabrics for cushions, curtains and more on request.
