Wallrocks have over 50 years experience restoring fine quality 18th and 19th century antique furniture. We do everything by hand – so no spray guns, no shortcuts and our head restorer has been with us for over 37 years.
Our antique furniture restoration and antique furniture repairs can be tailored to client taste – some like to keep the honourable scars and others like a complete makeover. We can cater to all tastes and preferences.
We do all our antique restoration by hand, including the highly skilled and slow task of French polishing – a skill which is becoming scarcer with every year that goes by.

Historically, Wallrocks have only had capacity to restore our own furniture. Now, with the addition of another young and talented restorer, we are in the happy position to be able to restore special pieces belonging to our clients as well.
The Wallrocks Standard
It is imperative to us that our clients have their furniture restored in a way that suits their personal taste and their home. There is no room for a cookie cutter approach here. We have clients who prefer the hallmarks of age and restoration that respects these…we have clients who prefer their antique to look as it did when the original cabinetmaker completed it 200-300 years ago. After an in-depth discussion with you, we employ the techniques and methods most suited to the end result you desire.
Quality Control
Our Director’s are heavily involved in the quality of output from the workshop and work closely between client and restorer to achieve the desired outcome. Each piece is checked by us prior to leaving the premises for delivery.

Master craftsman Lyndon, has been with Wallrocks for 37 years and is undoubtedly one of the most talented restorers in this country. There is simply no restoration job too complex for him to manage. Lyndon has completed restoration jobs specifically commissioned for events where the furniture has had to be customised for royalty. With meticulous attention to detail and patience, Lyndon is a master of his craft.

Trained over several years at Wallrocks under the eagle eyes of Lyndon and Nick Wallrock, Michael is an up and coming young restorer producing lovely quality workmanship, with an appreciation for retaining and working respectfully with a piece and its hallmarks of age.
