Wallrocks have been thrilled to partner with internationally renowned illustrator Natalie Rompotis, to showcase a collection of Wallrocks rare antique pieces illustrated in an elegant and chic Parisian apartment setting.

When delving into the world of antiques, imagination is critical. How else do you imagine a 200 year old piece of furniture in a contemporary setting? How else do you see through centuries of dust and dirt to see what lies beneath?

There are times when one needs to tap in to the creative genius of others…

With this in mind, Wallrocks were thrilled to partner with renowned illustrator Natalie Rompotis to showcase a range of stunning antique pieces in a stylish and chic Parisian setting.

Her work can be seen on the official website of Beyoncé and has been published in the New York Times, Vogue Australia, Harper’s BAZAAR (Australia and Mexico & Latin America) and ELLE (US). She has been named by both Harper’s BAZAAR Australia and Huffington Post as one of the top 12 Australian Fashion Illustrators.

“An idyllic childhood living in Greece, a sense of Hellenism and ten years of French language and culture study permeate her creations.”

In this vignette, Natalie has used the style and sophistication of the Rococo era to full effect.

A pair of very rare 19th century French over-sized gilt-wood Rococo armchairs from the Wallrocks collection have been matched with the most beautiful embroidered damask by British fabric house Colefax and Fowler.

Natalie-rompotis**A note on ‘Rococo’

The Rococo style was an extravagant style which became fashionable in France during the reign of Louis XV. The furniture is typified by S scrolls and asymmetric design and is often gilded, polished, or both. As such, rococo furniture makes ideal statement pieces within both contemporary and traditional interiors.
